Greene County Housing Committee featured on KDLS in June

Members of the Greene County Development Corporation Housing Committee will be featured on KDLS radio during the month of June. Norm Fandel, chairperson of the committee, and director of marketing and member services for Midland Power Cooperative; Laurie Gilbert of the Region XII Council of Governments; and Vickie Larson the single family housing specialist for USDA Rural Development will be featured. The first program will air on KDLS 1310 a.m. Monday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m. If you miss the program, it will be rebroadcast June 5 at 6:30 a.m. This program will tell how the housing committee, Region XII, and the USDA have partnered to bring over $750,000 for housing to Greene County in the past two years.

A second program is set for 9:30 a.m. June 12. It will focus on housing availability in Jefferson and the efforts to improve the housing market. Elizabeth Hailey, Jefferson city administrator, and Fandel are scheduled to be guests. This program will be rebroadcast June 13 at 6:30 a.m. Greene County Supervisor Jerry Roberts, a former announcer on KDLS will act as moderator.
